I just spent the last few hours playing Amandas Perfect Date and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, I wasn't really sure what to expect going into it, but I'd seen some of my friends playing it and they all seemed to be having a blast. So, I thought why not, right? The gameplay is pretty straightforward - you play as this character who's trying to help Amanda plan the perfect date, and you've got to make all these choices to try and make it happen.

At first, I was a bit skeptical. I mean, it's not exactly the most complex game in the world, and I was worried it was going to get old fast. But, as I started playing, I realized that the simplicity is actually kind of nice. It's not something you need to devote hours and hours to - you can just pick it up and play for a bit, and then put it down when you're done. And, even though the gameplay is pretty basic, the story is actually really engaging. I found myself getting pretty invested in Amanda's love life, which is kind of ridiculous when you think about it.

The thing that really surprised me about Amandas Perfect Date, though, is how much depth there is to the characters. I mean, at first glance, it seems like they're all just kind of one-dimensional, but as you play through the game, you start to learn more about them and their motivations. It's actually pretty impressive. And, the writing is really good too - it's funny and relatable, and it doesn't take itself too seriously. I found myself laughing out loud a few times, which is always a good sign.

Now, I'm not going to lie, there are some things that are a bit annoying about the game. For example, the choices you make don't always seem to have a huge impact on the story, which can be a bit frustrating. And, sometimes the dialogue can feel a bit cheesy or forced. But, overall, I think the good definitely outweighs the bad. I had a lot of fun playing Amandas Perfect Date, and I'd definitely recommend it to anyone who's looking for a lighthearted, casual game.

One thing I do wish, though, is that the game was a bit longer. I mean, I finished it in just a few hours, which felt like no time at all. I know it's not meant to be a super in-depth, 50-hour game or anything, but it would be nice if there was a bit more content. Maybe some more dates, or some more characters to interact with. That being said, I've heard that the developers are planning on releasing some DLC, so maybe we'll see some of that in the future.

All in all, I'd say Amandas Perfect Date is definitely worth checking out. It's a fun, lighthearted game that's perfect for playing when you're just looking for something casual. It's not going to blow your mind or anything, but it's a great way to pass the time, and it's definitely made me laugh. So, if you're in the market for a new game to play, I'd say give Amandas Perfect Date a shot - you never know, you might be surprised at how much you enjoy it.
