Apex Rush Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last weekend playing Apex Rush and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I went into it with pretty high expectations, given all the hype surrounding the game, and for the most part, it delivers. The gameplay is fast-paced and intense, which is exactly what I'm looking for in a game like this. The controls are pretty intuitive, and once you get the hang of them, you'll be dodging and weaving through the map in no time. The graphics are also top-notch, with some really impressive environments and character models.
One thing that really stood out to me was the variety of playable characters. Each one has their own unique abilities and playstyle, which adds a lot of depth to the game. I found myself switching between characters depending on the situation, and it was really fun to experiment with different strategies. That being said, some of the characters feel a bit overpowered, which can be frustrating when you're on the receiving end of their abilities. I'm not sure if it's just me, but it feels like some characters are way more powerful than others, which can make for some pretty unbalanced matches.
The map itself is also worth talking about. It's huge, with plenty of nooks and crannies to explore, and the design is really well done. There are plenty of opportunities for ambushes and flanking maneuvers, which adds a lot of strategy to the game. The map also changes from match to match, with different areas being closed off or opened up, which keeps things fresh and exciting. My only complaint is that it can be a bit hard to navigate at times, especially when you're in the heat of battle. I found myself getting turned around and disoriented more than once, which was pretty frustrating.
Despite some of the issues I had with the game, I had a really great time playing it. The community seems pretty active and supportive, which is always a plus. I didn't encounter too much toxicity, which is more than I can say for some other games I've played. The devs also seem to be pretty active, with regular updates and patches, which is great to see. One thing I would like to see is more game modes, as it gets a bit repetitive playing the same mode over and over. I'd love to see some new modes added in the future, maybe something like a co-op mode or a battle royale mode.
Overall, I'd say Apex Rush is definitely worth checking out, especially if you're a fan of fast-paced action games. It's not perfect, and there are definitely some areas that need improvement, but it's a really fun game that's sure to keep you entertained for hours. I'm excited to see where the devs take the game from here, and I'm looking forward to jumping back in and playing some more. If you're on the fence, I'd say give it a shot - just be prepared for some frustrating moments when you're up against some of the more overpowered characters.
I'm going to keep playing Apex Rush and see how it evolves over time. I'm hoping the devs will take some of the community feedback into consideration and make some changes to balance out the characters and add more game modes. If they can do that, I think Apex Rush has the potential to be a really great game. As it stands, it's still a lot of fun, but it's not quite perfect. Still, I'd definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a new game to play - just don't expect it to be without its flaws.
