Mario 3D Shooter Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last weekend playing Mario 3D Shooter and I've got to say, it's been a wild ride. I mean, who doesn't love running around as Mario, jumping and shooting his way through levels. The game is basically what you'd expect from a 3D Mario game, but with a twist - instead of just jumping on Goombas, you're blasting them to kingdom come with a variety of crazy guns. It's a lot of fun, but I'm not sure if it's really what I want from a Mario game.
The graphics are definitely top-notch, the game looks amazing and the levels are all really well-designed. I loved running around in the Mushroom Kingdom, it's so colorful and vibrant, it really feels like you're there. The sound design is also great, the music is catchy and the sound effects are all really satisfying. But, I don't know, maybe it's just me, but I feel like the game is missing something. It's just so... shooter-y. I mean, I know that's what the game is supposed to be, but I miss the platforming and exploration that I'm used to in Mario games.
The gameplay is pretty solid, the shooting mechanics are really responsive and it's a lot of fun to run around and blast enemies. The levels are all really well-designed, with lots of hidden secrets and paths to discover. But, like I said, it feels like something's missing. I miss the feeling of precision platforming, of having to time my jumps just right to make it to the next platform. In Mario 3D Shooter, it's all about just running and gunning, and it gets a bit repetitive after a while. Don't get me wrong, it's still a lot of fun, but I feel like it's not really using the Mario formula to its fullest potential.
One thing that I did really enjoy about the game is the variety of guns you can use. There's everything from standard pistols and shotguns to crazy stuff like a gun that shoots Bob-ombs. It's a lot of fun to experiment with different guns and find the ones that work best for you. The game also has a pretty robust upgrade system, so you can customize your guns and Mario's abilities to fit your playstyle. This added a lot of replay value to the game for me, as I found myself wanting to go back and replay levels to see how different guns and upgrades would affect the gameplay.
Overall, I'd say that Mario 3D Shooter is a fun game, but it's not really what I'm looking for in a Mario game. If you're a fan of shooters and are looking for something a bit different, you might really enjoy this game. But if you're like me and are looking for a more traditional Mario experience, you might want to look elsewhere. I'm not saying it's a bad game, it's just not really my cup of tea. I'd give it a solid 7 out of 10, it's a fun game, but it's not really using the Mario formula to its fullest potential.
I'm curious to see what other people think of the game, do you guys like the new direction that Mario 3D Shooter is taking, or do you miss the old-school platforming like I do. Let me know in the comments, I'd love to hear your thoughts. Anyway, that's my review of Mario 3D Shooter, it's a fun game, but it's not really for me. I'm going to go play some other games now, maybe something a bit more old-school. Later guys.
