Royal King: Croos Avatar Run Review & Gameplay Guide
I just spent the last few days playing Royal King: Croos Avatar Run and I've got to say, it's been a pretty wild ride. I picked it up on a whim, mostly because I was bored and it was free, but I didn't really know what to expect. The name sounds kind of weird, and the screenshots looked like your standard issue endless runner, but there's actually a lot more to it than that.
At first, I was a little disappointed. The graphics are okay, but they're not going to blow you away or anything. The characters all look kind of generic, and the backgrounds are pretty repetitive. But as I started playing, I realized that the game has a lot of heart. The controls are really responsive, and the levels are actually pretty well designed. There are a lot of power-ups and obstacles to deal with, and it's not just a matter of running and jumping. You've got to think on your feet and time your jumps just right if you want to make it through.
One thing that really stood out to me was the variety of characters you can play as. There are like, a dozen different avatars to choose from, each with their own unique abilities and strengths. Some of them are way more useful than others, but it's fun to experiment and find the one that works best for you. I personally really like the knight guy, because he's got a shield that can block obstacles and he's just really versatile. But there are plenty of other options to choose from, and you can even customize them with different outfits and accessories.
As I got further into the game, I started to notice that it's actually pretty challenging. The levels get progressively harder, and there are some sections that are just brutal. I mean, I've died like, a hundred times on the same level, and it's frustrating, but it's also kind of motivating. You want to keep trying and trying until you finally beat it, and when you do, it's a great feeling. The game's also got a pretty good sense of progression, with new levels and characters unlocking as you play. It's not like you're just running through the same old thing over and over again - there's always something new to look forward to.
But despite all the things I like about Royal King: Croos Avatar Run, there are a few things that really annoy me. For one thing, the ads are pretty obnoxious. I get that the game is free, and the developers need to make money somehow, but it feels like every time you die, you're getting hit with another ad. And some of the levels are just way too long - I've been playing for like, 10 minutes, and I'm still on the same level. It's exhausting. And the music is just, ugh. It's this annoying, repetitive tune that gets stuck in your head and won't go away.
Overall, though, I'd say that Royal King: Croos Avatar Run is definitely worth checking out. It's not perfect, but it's a fun, challenging game that's great for playing on the go. And hey, it's free, so you've got nothing to lose. Just be prepared for some frustrating moments, and maybe turn the music off if you can. But if you're looking for a new endless runner to play, this one's definitely worth a shot. I'm not going to say it's the best game I've ever played or anything, but it's definitely a solid addition to the genre.
